Hot Tub Moving Process
Because hot tubs are large, heavy, and contain delicate plumbing and electronic elements, moving them is often complicated. All Star is your hot tub moving pros. We’ve successfully moved hundreds of Jacuzzis and above-ground hot tubs, so we know the process backwards and forwards. Step number one is disconnecting the hot tub from any electrical outlets and placing all cords in waterproof bags. Next, it’s time to drain the hot tub. It’s important to follow the manufacturer’s directions when draining hot tubs—simply dumping out the water can damage your yard. Instead, most manufacturers tell you to use a pump or garden hose to drain the water. Once it’s empty, give the tub a good clean to get rid of any lingering moisture. Now, the moving process can begin. At All Star, we typically use plywood and dollies to roll the hot tub onto the moving truck’s loading ramp. Some more complicated moves can include hoist or cranes in which our crew at All Star are highly qualified.
Hot Tub Storage
Hot tubs require special storage considerations. Luckily, All Star has plenty of space dedicated to storing hot tubs in our 20,000 square foot secure storage facility. Hot tubs require strict security and climate control elements to protect their delicate plumbing and electronics. Furthermore, there’s several steps you should take to make sure that your hot tub is stored properly. First, it’s important to make sure that your hot tub is completely clean and dry. If you have access to a wet/dry shop vac, uses it to suck out all excess water after draining and cleaning your tub. Next, it’s crucial to clean not only your hot tub, but also your jets and filters. Using warm water and dish soap, clean the inside of your tub, as well as all filters. Finally, make sure to cover your tub with a secure hot tub cover. All Star will wrap your tub in moving blankets before transporting it to protect against dings and scratches. And that’s it!
